No. You bring your own API key (OpenAI/Luna). Codex never charges for AI usage — you pay only your API provider's standard rates.

Does the AI see my campaign notes?

Only when you ask it to. The Oracle reads selected entities or passages you explicitly share with it. Nothing is sent automatically.

Can it generate NPCs, quests, and factions?

Yes. The public generators on this site use the same underlying AI layer. When used inside the app it also has access to your existing campaign context.
