Where are my world files stored?

All Codex Cryptica campaign files are stored locally in your browser's Origin Private File System (OPFS). Your intellectual property remains entirely on your machine and is never sent to external servers.

Can I sync or backup my local-first world?

Yes. Codex Cryptica allows you to back up and sync files by mirroring your local vault to a folder on your computer's hard drive via the File System Access API, or by linking it to a Google Drive backup folder.
